We hire for character and craft before we hire for a title. If you believe in what we are building and you are excellent at what you do, we want to hear from you even if we have not written the job description yet.

Who we are looking for

We are a small, early team building something that has not been built before. That means we need people who can work with real autonomy, communicate directly, and care genuinely about the outcome, not just their piece of it.

The four things we look for in everyone, regardless of discipline:

You are honest, even when it is hard

You say the direct thing instead of the easy thing. You give real feedback and you can receive it without collapsing. 

You understand yourself well

You know how you work, where you are strong, where you drift. That self-awareness makes you easier to build with.

You care about doing it right

You would rather get something right slowly than wrong quickly. You have strong opinions and you defend them.

The mission matters to you

You believe that helping people get better at relationships is worth doing carefully. That is not just the job. It is the reason.

What to send us

Do not just send a resume. Tell us what you have built, what you care about, and why Better Half specifically. We read every thoughtful application and respond to the ones that show genuine engagement with the problem we are solving.

A link to work helps. A project, a portfolio, a piece of writing, a codebase. Whatever shows us how you think.

A note on timing

We are early and we move quickly when the right person shows up. A general application does not always lead to an immediate conversation, but we keep every note we receive and reach out when the right moment arrives. If the mission resonates, it is worth sending.
